Australian travel technology company, Locomote has announced it has inked a Global Framework Agreement (GFA) with financial services giant MasterCard, in a joint effort to help organisations improve the management of their corporate travel.
The partnership will allow MasterCard to offer Locomote’s business travel solution to its channel partners, including issuers, acquirers and merchants globally.
Locomote’s tech platform will be available to new markets and aims to automate the processes those companies currently use to authorise and book business trips. The partnership will allow both employers and employees to access every aspect of their corporate travel — requests, budget and expenses, duty of care — from any device, from anywhere in the world.
Locomote’s Vice Chairman, Philip Weinman, said this is a significant partnership for the travel company.
“To have MasterCard putting their weight behind our technology highlights the value it has in the marketplace.
“We have seen the leisure travel industry shift to online booking engines, while the corporate travel industry has taken a bit longer to make the switch. It’s great to see influential companies like MasterCard recognising the smart technology we have available. And we’re looking forward to a successful and mutually beneficial relationship with MasterCard.”
