Locomote - a Business Travel Technology Platform - sets the plan for global growth together with a further addition to the management team – Rachel Harper.

CEO and Executive Chairman, Philip Weinman has set Locomote on the path for long-term growth after three years of laying the groundwork for sustainable push into international markets. The recent announcement of the Travelport investment into Locomote has put Locomote on track for continuing its global rollout and preparing the team for rapid growth.

Weinman comments "We went global overnight and we had to be prepared. I now have a team that I know will accelerate Locomote into the global business travel market. We had to build the right team to not only take Locomote forward but fit with our company culture - a 'yes, can do' attitude to build and grow a borderless travel technology platform to deliver a new standard for corporate travel management - globally."

To support a successful market strategy, Harper will join the  leadership team to build the communication and brand strategy in line with the current and future client partnerships led by Chief Commercial Officer, Dean Weinman.

Harper leaves her Sydney based role at the Global Business Travel Association as Director, Operations - Asia Pacific to join Locomote as Director of Brand & Engagement. Bringing with her a further 10 years experience spanning travel and technology industries across large global corporates, TMCs and industry organisations.

Weinman comments further "Current pipeline clients and partners propose to double our portfolio in six months alone and grow revenues by 40% year on year. Staff numbers have grown 200% in 12 months and we will keep building the team inline with the technological advancements and client requirements."

Locomote to date, offers a travel solution that reinstates profile ownership with the corporate, it streamlines the travel booking process in two clicks and ensures increased booking and reporting efficiency. Locomote is currently being used by organisations such as ANZ Bank, World Vision, Medibank, Allen & Overy and Glencore.
